Golf Tournament

A record number of golfers, 228, teed off at the 19th Annual Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament on May 7. The all-day event raised $170,000. To date, the tournament has raised more than $1 million for the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Physicians Endowment which provides continuing education opportunities for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System staff.

More than 90 volunteers were also on hand to help make the event a success.

“It was terrific to see so many generous people coming together to support our tournament and the Physicians Endowment,” said Healthcare Foundation President Mason Ayres. “We really appreciate everything our sponsors and volunteers did to make this Sarasota’s premier golf tournament.”

The Golf Tournament’s title sponsor was the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust. David Fouche of J2Solutions served as tournament chair.

Other major sponsors included: DeAngelis Diamond, Golf Cart Sponsor. Above Par Sponsors: Flad Architects, Gilbane Building Company, Gresham Smith, J2 Solutions, and The Ernie Garcia Group at Morgan Stanley.
