About the Flanzers
Gloria and Louis Flanzer
Gloria and Louis Flanzer were originally from New York but fell in love with Sarasota during a 1970’s business trip. They spent much of their last 35 years living in Sarasota on Longboat Key. Lifelong philanthropists, they left their estate to The Flanzer Trust and requested their trustees to focus on serving the Greater Suncoast area.
The Trust is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those in need in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto Counties. The Trust supports programs and agencies that deliver:
Making a Difference
Our heart for the community
The Flanzer Trust continues to make substantial contributions to special projects such as the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Boys and Girls Club in Arcadia, the Flanzer Campus of the JFCS, the Flanzer Campus at All Star Children’s Foundation, substantial Covid support for needy families, vital equipment and support for Sarasota Memorial Hospital and much more. The signature activity of The Trust is to fulfill the Flanzers’ vision by encouraging broad support for our valued non-profit partners through the Flanzer Match Program.
